2 Years on, Still No Justice for Gauri
September 5, 2019
On September 5, 2017, journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead outside her home in Bangalore. In the two years that have followed, 18 people associated with far right organisations such as Sanatan Sanstha and Janjagruti Samiti have been accused of the crime by the Special Investigation Team formed to investigate the case. Their findings have also shown that this murder was not a random act of violence, but in fact, was linked to the assassinations of rationalists Kalburgi, Dabholkar and Pansare. How long will we have to wait for justice to be delivered?
