Orijit Sen is an Indian graphic artist and designer. His graphic novel River of Stories (1994) is considered as the first graphic novel of India. He works across various art disciplines, his recent posters on Facebook have become quite a rage. He also co-founded People Tree in 1990 as a “collaborative studio and store for artists, designers, and craftspeople.”

We spoke to artist Orijit Sen on weaponising laughter as resistance, the contradictions in the social media space, and why the 2019 elections are so important.
