Dissenting writers and journalists are being shot dead by passing vigilantes
September 26, 2017
In this Indian Writers Forum conversation, eminent writer Nayantara Sahgal talks to Githa Hariharan about the shrinking of the enriched, inclusive idea of India – which took shape as the result of the freedom struggle – into a monoculture. Today debate is being crushed and dissent has been outlawed. Dissenting writers and journalists are being shot dead by passing vigilantes.
