In this lecture organised by the New Socialist Initiative on the occasion of Gandhi’s death anniversary Prof. Irfan Habib talks about manufacturing of history by RSS and other right wing organisations. Prof Habib, who is a Marxist historian, takes us through ancient, medieval and modern history and debunks the Hindutva claims that Hindus were the original inhabitants of the Indian sub-continent. He shows that such claims are in complete contradiction scientific and historic evidence and, therefore, purely manufactured.
