Historian Irfan Habib on the rightwing project of mythologising history

Teesta Setalvad, journalist and co-editor of Communalism Combat, spoke to historian Irfan Habib on Sabrang, about the right-wing project of mythologising history. On the one hand, history is distorted to perceive all Muslim rulers as plunderers. On the other hand, the so-called patriotism of right-wing Hindu groups stands exposed by their absence from the Indian freedom struggle.
