Amid the season of corporate-funded festivals, the first Dalit Literature Festival was held at Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College on February 3 and 4. The festival was organised by the Hindi department of Kirorimal College, in association with the Ambedkarwadi Lekhak Sangh and other organisations. The Indian Cultural Forum and Newsclick spoke to the festival organisers, speakers and attendees to understand the voice of Dalit literature, the impact of caste conversations and the challenges at University spaces.
