Gandhiji had envisaged that redefining education in independent India should liberate the people. But the Draft National Education Policy 2019 (DNEP 2019) doesn't promote this idea

"Gandhiji had envisaged that redefining education in independent India should liberate the people. But the Draft National Education Policy 2019 (DNEP 2019) doesn't promote this idea. It propagates the idea of international capital to commodify education and the Hindutva forces' idea of communalisation," said Prof. Prabhat Patnaik while releasing the book 'In Search of Education' authored by Prof Jawahar Nesan. The book is a response to the DNEP 2019.
