The government has declared a 21-day-long lockdown without any preparation in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19. However, this time ill-timed move has left lakhs of workers homeless and without food.
Social activist Harsh Mander met with the daily wage workers in Yamuna Pushta. These workers have managed to get one plate of porridge after standing in queue for hours. Hunger will take their lives, before they are afflicted by corona.
