Note from Samyak Drishti:
“0 KM” shares images of the commons created by the protesting farmers, like the way our ancestors used to gather around meals and feasts with music and dance to celebrate togetherness and living a shared life whose essence is communicating what we are and through the acts of what we bring to share.
As we live in a site of sightlessness ,this short film is seeking the freedom to shout I am Witness through the lenses of the photographers. It captures the moments of struggle, pain and the spirit of solidarity and presents an archive of one of the most important resistance movements that our nation has witnessed in recent times.
Salutes to the farmers and a big thank you to all the photographers.
We thank Omar Badsha, South African documentary photographer, artist, political and trade union activist and a historian for releasing the film.
