Here is Ranga Shankara‘s programme remembering the birthday of Girish Karnad — playwright, actor, and director extraordinaire, a stalwart of Indian theatre, a close mentor, and the Chairman of The Sanket Trust. On his 83rd birthday, Ranga Shankara celebrated Karnad’s work, his life, and a few of the innumerable things that the multi-faceted man has taught us. This small video tribute put together by Ranga Shankara, friends, peers, and colleagues, pays homage to the life, times, and genius of Karnad.

Ranga Shankara is one of Bangalore's well known theatres. It is located in the south Bangalore area of J.P Nagar and is run by the Sanket Trust. The auditorium, which opened in 2004, was envisioned by Arundathi Nag, in remembrance of her late husband, Shankar Nag, who was a renowned actor in the Kannada film industry.
