Millions of farmers are adamant on not turning around from their “Dilli Chalo” call, demanding the rollback of the three Farm Laws. They’ve faced brutality at the hands of the police and paramilitary forces. From tear gas shells, water cannons, and mass arrests, the farmers braved it all. They broke through the barricades by filling up the trenches dug up by the police and made their way to Delhi.
Undeterred by all attempts to stop them or malign the protests, the farmers are steadfast. They want no token amendments in the new farm laws, no dilly dallying on the matter by panels for consideration – “Repeal the laws!”, they say.
Drawing support from student, women and trade union organisations, artists and cultural activists, the farmers are determined to intensify their heroic struggle. Sahmat’s support for the farmers in this video showcases snippets from the protests, slogans, banners and more.
