This lecture is the inaugural one in a new series titled “Paigham-e-Azadi” (पैग़ाम-ए-आज़ादी). An initiative by the School for Democracy and NewsClick, it is to commemorate the forthcoming 73rd anniversary of India’s Independence. The series will be based on India’s freedom fighters, whose pioneering contribution made the dream of Independence a reality.
