The Narendra Modi-led BJP government is facing increasing resistance from Tamil Nadu against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). While the ruling party of the state AIADMK continues to stand with the BJP, the DMK in opposition along with many civil society groups are protesting against it. The protesters say that the AIADMK government has become spineless and is working for the Modi government. This is the reason why police have alleged that the Kolam protests have Pakistan connection and are also arresting the protesters from across the state.
