After two weeks of agitation, JNU students' protest against the massive fee hike hit the streets on November 11. However, the students, who were marching to the AICTE auditorium, soon faced brutal repression by Delhi Police, which resorted lathi charge and use of water cannons on them. Several students have claimed that they were not only beaten mercilessly but were left injured on the streets.
