The Right to Equal Love – Marriage in the Transgender Community | Karwan e Mohabbat

Pyaar ho jaata hai," (love happens) responds a proud bridegroom, when asked about how he has been in a relationship with his transgender bride for 3 years. In a joyful and glorious celebration of love and marriage, 15 transgender persons in Raipur married the men they love. The ceremonies were inspired by Hindu tradition and #Bollywood. For once, those who have been relegated to the corners of mainstream family life, created a space for themselves and for their own loves.  Karwan e Mohabbat brings this story of love and self-assertion. #PrideMonth #LGBTQ
