Dr.V Suresh, General Secretary of PUCL, shares his concerns and the challenges before the Human Rights movement, in the context of increasing safronisation and fascisisation of the Indian State machinery, including the Judiciary.
In this interview Dr. Suresh also reiterates the need for reimagining the precepts of human rights and expand its ambit beyond the civil rights and those of political, economic, social and cultural domains. He insists that the reimagined Human Rights has to encompass the right to life, livelihood and well being and saving the commons for posterity.
