This song is a tribute to Bangalore journalist, Gauri Lankesh, who was killed on 5 September 2017. The sheer brutality of the crime (she was shot 7 times), reflects the intolerance displayed by opposing thought. Her death got to all of us at some level because she was a citizen of Bangalore, known to all of us and what happened to her highlighted the times we live in.
