We must make sure hunger does not emerge as a bigger killer

The Indian government released a 1.75 lakh crore (USD 22.6 billion) relief package to deal with the COVID-19 crisis. However, the provisions for farmers and agricultural workers have been criticized by leftist organizations and activists, who say it is deeply inadequate. We talk to Vijoo Krishnan of the All India Kisan Sabha (All India Farmers’ Organization) on the issues being faced by farmers during this crisis and the steps the government needs to take.
