#FeesMustFall: No barricades can stop JNU students’ resistance
November 20, 2019
On Monday, November 18, more than 3,000 students and teachers of the New Delhi-based Jawaharlal Nehru University marched to the Indian parliament against the hostel fee hike and demanded free education for all. The march was brutally attacked by the Delhi police and the CRPF paramilitary force. Despite the massive repression, students continued their protest march until they reached within 2 km of the Indian parliament. More than 100 students were injured in the police action and around 10 students received critical wounds.
