Dilli 6: A Library Opens When the City Sleeps
August 5, 2019
Dilli 6, or the walled city is very well known by many for its food and culture, but in this video let us take a look at a lesser known part of the city. Senior Journalist Bhasha Singh takes us through the bustling lanes of old Delhi to visit a unique library, run by a self funded organisation called the Delhi Youth Welfare Association. Shah Walliullah Library opens it doors at 9:30 at night and welcomes those who are looking for a good break after a long day of work. Over the years, this library has become not just a space for people to come and read or borrow books, but a centre of debate, discussion and community bonding.
