Junaid’s Mother and Akhlaq’s Daughter Ask for Justice

At the AIDWA convention in New Delhi, Saira, Junaid's mother along with Shaista, Mohammad Akhlaq's daughter talk about the pain of losing their loved one to the madness of a hate crime.

Shaista's broken innocence of losing her father to the heinous lynching that her father faced and died in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh two years ago. And the pain of a mother whose young, 16-year-old son died one day before Eid in July this year.

The victims and survivors of the hate crimes committed by Hindu right wing extremists voiced their only wish for justice, for punishing those who brutally killed their family member for being from the minority community, targeted as 'beef eaters'.
